To fully highlight the charm of this handcrafted kimono fabric, we avoided unnecessary cutting or embellishments, opting for a reversible design that allows you to enjoy the inside and the out. Multiple steps were taken to ensure the beauty of both sides, with careful attention to detail, including hand-stitching in the finishing process. The silhouette is generous, designed not to cling too closely to the body's lines. The fabric’s texture, vertical patterns, and drape are accentuated by the long length. You can wear this dress in four ways—front to back and inside out. You can also adjust the neckline using the three hooks or style the accompanying scarf around the neck or as a belt, offering endless ways to wear it. My mother told me that my grandmother, who had worn kimono everyday also used to reverse her old kimonos to sew new kimonos. The fabric is high quality hand woven silk and matte texture. The intricate patterns are traditional Japanese patterns yet same time it has some Scandinavian mood. The botanical dyed textile is filled with authentic craftsmanship not found in modern fabrics. I think it is hard to find similar fabric in this good even for old kimonos. The dress has a small collar with a pedestal collar and covered buttons that go all the way to the hem. It’s finished in a Western silhouette with full of tailoring, which is rare for our garments actually, in order to take advantage of the solid texture of the fabric and the atmosphere of the unique pattern.
